the geforce 9800GTX+: can it compete with the HD4850?
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3340&p=1 well, sort of. an extra $30 for a card that just BARELY beats the HD4850, and only in a few games. HD4870 will be out in less than 12 hours. let's see how this one shapes up then. |

anandtech review of the HD4870:
http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3341&p=1 no mention of the "100C" under load problem. tech report: http://www.techreport.com/articles.x/14990/1 interestingly enough, tech report that the HD4870 actually runs cooler under load. either way, the HD4870 can match the GTX260, at $100 less. |
